Even if the hotel is magnificent and its restaurant wonderful, it didn't make me forget the poor service: air conditioning that does not work, electrical problem that causes the ceiling light to flash all night, concierge who wakes you up by calling you at 8 a.m. to tell you that your laundry is clean, maintenance service that does not come to fix the lamp when he says he is coming (twice), cleaning ladies who make noise in the hallway from 7am, etc. Very far form 5-star standards.

Incredible staff, really. I've travelled a lot around the world and had never seen such kind and generous customer service, where there is always a solution for everything and will to help. The rooms are very good, the sheets are soft, the toiletries are good quality, the breakfast was excellent and full of local delicious choices. There are little monkeys living at the premises which are the cutest thing. The restaurant food is very good too. I am definitely coming back.

Our deluxe room was small for the price. My one complaint about the room was the number of cushions and pillows they pile on to the bed. Other than that, our stay was almost perfect. Wonderful staff. Top notch service. Perfect location. A great breakfast buffet but they will also custom make your omelet. I recommend the tosta they offer: a slice of their toasted homemade bread with a poached egg, some excellent white cheese, and a delicious pesto sauce. They also offer a regional cheese made with sheep's milk that is phenomenally great with a slice of that homemade bread. On weekends there's also the fixings for do it yourself mimosas. The bar is comfortable and Vicki is a great bartender. You get a welcome drink for free, which is good because the drinks are pricey. I love this place, and although there are so many other pousadas that might also have more charm, I can't imagine staying anywhere else. But yes, it is a bit expensive. But you get what you pay for.

Pousada do Sandi is the one that best represents the Spirit of the Historic Center of Paraty. With a unique charm and comfortable accommodation, the Sandi is in the heart of the historic centre. The hotel has many perks like swimming pool, sauna, gym, jacuzzi, hot tub, all of the highest quality for you to relax after walking around Paraty. The rooms are wonderful and the staff are very well trained. Traveling to Paraty and staying at Sandi is getting to know Paraty in the best way possible….

Just perfect. The staff are wonderful, the service is amazing. Really clean, very interesting decor, great cocktail bar ( thank you Vicky) , great restaurant. An island of loveliness in a great place.

Colonial house converted into a hotel, with beautiful architecture, in a great place. Reasonable rooms. Impeccable cleanliness and very friendly staff. Great breakfast with brazilian cuisine. Super charming bar and restaurant. The hot jacuzzi is great. Pool is small but you can still enjoy. There was absolutely nothing to complain about during my stay, actually perhaps the price $$$$. High recommended!
